This workshop will provide insight into the impact of trauma and eating disorders. There will be a focus on helping to teach those we work with the connection between disordered eating and underlying issues in a gentle and compassionate manner. Research, resources, and intervention strategies will be shared inclusive of an overview of a 6 week arts based group treatment program.
Through this training participants will gain an awareness of:
the impact of attachment and trauma on disordered eating and self concept
the sensory function of different forms of eating disorders
research and factors of influence associated with disordered eating
experiential review of practical intervention strategies
This training is scheduled for Wednesday June 18, 2014 from 1:00 - 4:00 in St. Davids Ontario. Our location is minutes from the breathtaking Niagara Falls, the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the city of St. Catharines.
