The Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM)® was created by Lori Gill, Founder and Clinical Director Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing (ATTCH).

Our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM)® is a trauma-specific model that layers in sensory processing, art, breath work, somatic therapies, embodied awareness, toning and movement, bilateral stimulation, resource installation, parts work integration, and amygdala reframing messages.

The Integrative Trauma Treatment Model (ITATM)® helps people to depotentiate trauma experiences and help people become embodied in a safe structured way

Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted (ITATM-A)® This training is open to anyone working in a helping profession or holistic wellness position (yoga practitioner, occupational therapist, teacher, doctor) with a desire to learn more about trauma and attachment and our adapted processing model specific to non-clinical helpers. There are no pre-requisites for this training; information is presented at a practical and foundation building level and built upon throughout the training to provide practical and effective trauma integration and emotional regulation techniques. This training program focuses on foundational trauma and attachment knowledge as well as the implementation and applied practice of our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted (ITATM-A) ®. Participants listed in this section have completed the training requirements of certification but have not yet completed certification. They are trained to implement the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted (ITATM-A) ®.

Trauma Integration Training – Becoming Trauma-Informed

The fields of attachment and trauma research and intervention are growing rapidly. It is apparent that this is an area all clinicians can benefit from training in as it crosses all sectors and populations in some manner. However, we know that it can be difficult to keep up with all of the readings and resources. As this is our area of specialization, let us share what we have learned through our literature and research reviews and what we have effectively put into practice with you in an engaging and practical manner. This comprehensive two-day training will provide insight into current trauma, attachment, and neuroscience research ensuring an understanding of critical information and best practice strategies for working with trauma. This training will also help you to enhance your clinical skills and learn how you can add trauma regulation and attachment healing strategies to your repertoire.

Day 2 will focus on putting it into practice. Through this Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted - Non Clinical (ITATM-A NC) ® participants will learn how to make historical connections, engage in integrative trauma-specific treatment approaches, and promote resiliency and wellness. Participants will learn about phase-based treatment of complex trauma and review of best practice and evidence-based approaches will also be experienced. Participation is live online or live I person only and participation for the full training is required due to the experiential nature of the training resulting in several applied practice sessions using the model.

Day 1  Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model - Adapted (Non Clinical Stream)

This workshop takes participants through the trauma integration and emotional regulation techniques following our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted (ITATM-A)® practices introduced in the core training. This workshop takes participants through experiential of our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted (ITATM-A)® from start to finish and includes various techniques (from brief assessment, grounding, trauma integration work, somatic discharging and shifting affect for completion of session in an emotionally regulated manner). Participants will experience various experiential activities inclusive of a live demonstration and the opportunity to practice techniques learned (as both the counsellor and the client) in a partner format with guidance from the facilitator. This experiential days allows for discussion, questions, and reflections from participants at a deeper level as it is facilitated in a small group format.

Days 3 & 4  Applied Practice and Experiential & Applied Practice Part 2 & 3

This workshop takes participants through the trauma processing practices introduced in the core training. This workshop takes participants through experiential of our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted (ITATM-A)®  from start to finish and includes various techniques (from brief assessment, grounding, trauma integration work, somatic discharging and shifting affect for completion of session in an emotionally regulated manner). Participants will experience various experiential activities inclusive of a live demonstration and further opportunities to practice trauma integration (as both the helper and the client) in a partner format with guidance from the facilitator. This experiential days allow for discussion, questions and reflections from participants at a deeper level as it is facilitated in a small group format.

All days will be rich with research, practical examples, case studies, experiential activities, and opportunities for self-reflection.

Part 3:

Days 1-3: Advanced Training & Applied Practice and Experiential of our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model Adapted - Non Clinical (ITATM-A) ®

This training will focus on working with preverbal trauma, attachment trauma, intergenerational transmission of trauma, parts work, and other aspects of complex trauma.

Advance registration is required, limited spaces available to ensure individualized attention. Although uncommon ATTCH reserves the right to change the format or reschedule based on enrolment.
