In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about:
- Common myths and misconceptions about supporting grieving children and youth
- Grief at different developmental stages
- Practical strategies and language to support children in understanding the concept of death and supporting a healthy grief process
- Creative interventions for supporting children and youth before, during, and after the death of someone in their life
- Hands-on and online strategies when working with grieving children and youth
- Online, literary, and local resources and supports for grieving children and their families
Diane is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health and Behaviour Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine (2007). She has provided counselling services in a variety of community mental health settings and supports grieving children, youth, and adults both in her private practice and as a member of Andrea Warnick Consulting, an Ontario-wide group practice specializing in grief and bereavement.edit.

Join us for a 3 hour workshop focusing on grief and loss techniques to integrate into your practice. Diane has completed certification with us and is a Certified Trauma Integration Clinician (CTIC) she will be teaching skills and techniques to augment our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM) through a grief and trauma lens.
