The fields of attachment and trauma research and intervention are growing rapidly. It is apparent that this is an area all clinicians can benefit from training in as it crosses all sectors and populations in some manner. However, we know that it can be difficult to keep up with all of the readings and resources. As this is our area of specialization, let us share what we have learned and put into practice with you in an engaging and practical manner. This comprehensive two-day training will provide insight into current trauma, attachment, and neuroscience research ensuring an understanding of critical information and best practice strategies. Core Training:
Day 1: Foundations of Trauma and Attachment (core CTIP & CTIC training)
Day 2: Phase-Based Tools to Promote Healing and Integration of Trauma and Attachment Dysregulation

This comprehensive two-day training will provide insight into current trauma, attachment, and neuroscience research ensuring an understanding of critical information and best practice strategies for working with trauma.
You will learn how trauma at different ages impacts patients a neurological, emotional and physiological level. This information will allow you to make connections to later life behaviours and health outcomes to create treatment plans that promote targeted integration.
This training will also help you to enhance your skills and learn how you can add trauma regulation and attachment healing strategies to your repertoire.
Day 2 will focus on putting it into practice. Through this training participants will learn how to use tools at various phases to promote affect regulation, build competencies, and help those who have experienced trauma.

Trauma Processing Experiential & Applied Practice Part 2 & 3*
This workshop takes participants through the trauma processing practices introduced in the core training. This workshop takes participants through experiential of our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM) from start to finish and includes various techniques (from brief assessment, grounding, trauma processing, somatic discharging and shifting affect for completion of session in an emotionally regulated manner). Participants will experience various experiential activities inclusive of a live demonstration and further opportunities to practice trauma processing (as both the counsellor and the client) in a partner format with guidance from the facilitator. This experiential days allow for discussion, questions and reflections from participants at a deeper level as it is facilitated in a small group format.

This workshop will provide insight into the impact of trauma and attachment on adolescence. Workshop focus will include a variety of strategies for promoting safety and engaging at risk youth. Research, resources, and intervention strategies will be shared.

This experiential workshop will teach participants how to safely and effectively integrate self-compassion and emotional nurturance work into their practice in a way that builds greater self-awareness, authenticity, and agency over emotions for themselves as the clinician as well as the clients they work with. This experiential workshop will provide insight into the powerful healing benefits of journalling. Techniques for expression, empowerment, and disarming of protective screens and scripts no longer needed will also be provided. This workshop will speak to the neurological impact journalling has on promoting integration. This is a very hands on experiential workshop that will provide you lots of opportunities to process, reframe, and work towards healing with your clients in session.

Working with Complex Aspects of Trauma- Clinical Workshop*

This workshop will provide insight into techniques used for working with sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking, dissociation, and high risk situations. Insight into identifying and working with false alarms, calming the amygdala / security guard, and learning how to form new associations and neuropathways will be a core part of this training which includes some experiential activities and many case examples to demonstrate treatment techniques.

This program is a 10-session workshop for parent and caregivers focusing on learning the keys to forming a healthy attachment relationship with their child. Each session includes attachment enhancing activities, a psychoeducation component, self-reflection, and a take home activity.
Parents and Caregivers will learn:
· How to engage in conscious and brain based parenting.
· How to create resiliency, empowerment, and healthy parent-child relationships.
· How trauma impacts the brain, body, and behaviour.
· How to regulate your child's behaviour using sensory strategies.
· To consider how your attachment experiences have shaped your current relationships.
· You will also be provided age specific strategies and resources to increase attachment and prevent melt-downs.
This workshop is ideal for parents and caregivers of children and youth seeking to enhance their relationship with their child or their understanding of how to parent in a strengths-focused brain-based manner. Parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, grandparents and other caregivers are all appropriate participants for this workshop.
